Contact 2 — Stage & Mind Psychology

Acknowledgement of Country

Stage & Mind Psychology acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands across Australia on which we live, work and connect. I acknowledge the Turrbal and Jagera peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which I live and work in Meanjin (Brisbane).

I pay my respects to Elders past and present, and extend my respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia.

I recognise the enduring connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country, culture, community, identity, creativity and story. As a psychologist working with people across the arts, I recognise the important role that storytelling, creativity and cultural expression can play in shaping identity, connection and wellbeing.

I acknowledge the continuing impact of colonisation and the importance of listening to, learning from and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and experiences.
